Advertiser Terms
The terms for buying a sponsored post on Roar. These are in addition to the general Terms and Privacy Policy.
DRAFT — to be reviewed by counsel before launch.
1. What you're buying
A sponsored post shown to the free tier within the region (and/or community) you select, for the plan you choose — a one-time run or an auto-renewing monthly or annual subscription. Placement is contextual: ads are targeted by region/community, never by tracking or profiling individual people. We don't guarantee any specific number of impressions, clicks, or results.
2. Review and approval
Every ad is reviewed before it runs. We may decline or remove any ad at our discretion. Approval is not an endorsement. We only charge after an ad is approved; rejected submissions are never charged.
3. Your content
You confirm you have the rights to the ad text, images, and destination link, and that the ad is lawful, accurate, not misleading, and complies with applicable advertising laws. Ads may not contain illegal, hateful, harassing, sexually explicit, deceptive, or infringing content, and may not target or exploit minors. You are responsible for your ad and where it links.
4. Payment, renewal, and cancellation
Prices are shown at checkout. One-time placements run for the stated period and do not renew. Monthly and annual plans auto-renew at the same price until canceled. You can cancel anytime from the billing portal; the ad runs through the end of the paid period and is not prorated or refunded. A discounted first-time annual rate, where offered, applies only to advertisers without a prior paid ad. Payments are generally non-refundable once an ad is live.
5. Where the money goes
After operating costs, ad revenue funds local charities in the ad's region, consistent with the Roar Promise. An ad purchase is a commercial transaction, not a tax-deductible donation.
6. Removal and suspension
We may pause or remove an ad, and suspend an advertiser, for violating these terms or our policies. Where an ad is removed for a violation, fees are non-refundable.
7. Changes and contact
We may update these terms; material changes will be noted here. These terms are governed by the laws of the State of North Carolina, USA, without regard to its conflict-of-laws principles. The state and federal courts located in North Carolina will have exclusive jurisdiction over any dispute. Questions: advertising@roarloudly.com.
